Lymington ahead…1-0 after 5 minutes. !!! We just didn’t get out of the starting blocks. A simple through ball not covered let Lymington in giving them a crucial early lead.

We had to defend deep as Lymington pushed on looking for a quick second. Toth Bignell Morrison and Pope did well to absorb pressure. Our midfield spluttered before settling.

Bentley and Rigamoto put in a shift competing well in midfield. Bentley sparked an opportunity for Criciun but the shot on target was easily taken by the keeper.

Criciun made amends with 36 minutes gone firing home an equaliser, 1-1. Patmore then went close before the half time whistle sent the teams in level pegging.

15 minutes into the second half a lapse of concentration in defence let in Lymington for a simple tap in. 1-2. Until then we had competed well but suffered from our goal blight. Opportunities fell our way but there was no finish.

20 minutes and Rigamoto took over gathering splinters from Dinev. 5 minutes later a triple change… Toth Criciun and Fudge making way for Hockey Grzybowski and Kerr. Hockey didn’t last long as the ref decided he deserved a rest and sent him to the sin bin.

Fletcher then made a bow coming on for Patmore.

Lymington’s set play yielded with a few minutes left and a third goal finished the scoring.
