Match Report Wimborne Town Reserves vs Verwood Town 05-Nov-25
DORSET PREMIER LEAGUE
WEDNESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2025
WIMBORNE TOWN RESERVES 2 VERWOOD TOWN 1
We lacked fire power against Wimborne and suffered back to back defeats.
A first half resulted in a score line of 0-1 in the home team's favour. Wimborne had possession advantage and used it well to keep us pegged back in out third.
Counters provided a couple of opportunities, but our ongoing lack of finishing capability kept us on the back foot.
Craciun took varnish off the post with a shot near the whistle but overall, a disappointing 45 minutes.
Half Time. 0-1
A much better start to the second half saw the home keeper get his gloves dirty for the first time and a Harris shot grazing the bar. Again though wrong side of the net.
Pushing on cost us a second goal when we gifted space for Wimborne to score what proved to be the winner.
Matt Pope gave hope for a rally with a well taken penalty towards the end of the 90 minutes but the lack of inspiration and indecision in front of the sticks left us with a
1-2 scoreboard at the whistle.
Result 1-2
