Extreme heat again met two big squads' for this friendly.

Only one minute old and for a change we started the game on the front foot. A good move down the left, a low cross and a shaved post.

Retaliation was instant and a Christchurch high ball into our box was met and cleared by Kerr.

A good start and with both sides committed to attack. It made a good watch.

The game swung end to end with both keepers in action. Good football from both sides continued.

16 minutes on the clock and Richardson’s through ball split Christchurch defence. McKinley raced free and beat the advancing keeper with a ground shot into the bottom corner. 1-0.

Thre game flowed. Mid field was fiercely contested but the whistle went on a 1-0 lead.

Half Time 1-0

Wholesale player and positional changes at half time didn’t curb the attacking style of both teams. Play flowed.

Colarelli saw a blazing shot take paint off the bottom of the post and an immediate counter had Danvers tracking back to rob a runner just outside our hi box.

Christchurch benefitted from a defensive blunder with 13 minutes gone and made it 1-1.

Our attacking flair tailed off a bit giving Christchurch an edge. 20 minutes gone and a break on their left followed by an angled shot made it 1-2.

Kwawminda clipped the top of the bar and then Mckinley saw a good low volley well saved by the keeper.

Christchurch seemed to be more energetic in the last minutes of the game but we tightened up at the back preventing score board changes.
