It took 15 minutes before a shot was fired at goal. A lot of interpassing but not much in terms of a goal fest .

Craciun took a free kick 30 yards out to claim the first effort. The keeper palmed away from goal and a size 12 hoofed it clear. This sparked Portlands first attack on goal. Wallis did well to palm the ball out. A second shot was again well read by Wallis helping to keep a clean score board.

The game opened up with Portland having a slightly higher percentage of possession. Wallis again was busy but the back four had settled restricting Portlands progress on goal.

Craciun and McKinley were proving a handful for the Portland backs but there was no change to the score board as the whistle went for half time.

Half Time 0-0

10 minutes gone and Craciun forced two saves from the home keeper. We had stepped up pace and links from Best and Joyce gave inroads on the flanks.

McKinley went close with an angled volley followed by a Colarelli strike clipping the bar.

Bartlett made way for for Kwawinda on 17 Minutes. Mayo trod the turf 3 minutes later.

22 minutes and McKinleys persistence paid off going free from a Kwawinda through ball and giving the keeper no chance with a shot just inside the bottom corner 0-1.

70 minutes and Kerr made it 2-0

. Portlands answer was an aggressive 10 minutes but again the back four did an excellent job in blocking route to goal.

The game see sawed with both keepers busy. Portland hit the bar and their keeper made a great save with a couple minutes to go as Craciun went one on one.
