High balls and scrappy goals typify the type of game played and although relatively even in respect to possession, it is of course goals that count!. Two late ones flatter the scoreline a little for the home side in a 5-1 defeat for Verwood at Bournemouth Sports.

"Homepage Headline - Pre-Season for Verwood U23"
Pleased to have a visit from a Witchampton United FC, managed by ex Verwood Town regular Ben Kelly in a pre-season game at Potterne. Verwood established a good first half lead going in 3-0 up at half-time. They had to wait for late on before adding any more goals

Thankful to Westover Bournemouth who stepped in at late notice for another pre-season workout for us at Potterne. An entertaining game where the rain just about held off after a burst earlier in the evening, a match with plenty of scoring opportunities and Westover taking the win on the night 3-2 with a late goal

The Steve Moore Memorial Trophy match with Wimborne Town took place at Potterne this year. A good 200 strong crowd enjoyed the summer evening and BBQ, Wimborne enjoyed retaining the Trophy once again!
